Inspiration?

What a ‘Romantic word'

On the 20/06/09, I drove to Avebury with some friends for the Summer Solstice.

“Inspiration” from the Summer Solstice. The sun is rising, and, I have this ‘divine urge’ to write and draw. Standing under the same tree where JRR Tolkien sat and got inspiration for ‘The Lord of the Rings’

What a ‘Romantic scenario’?

Yes.

Did I produce anything?

No.

I experienced a kind of ‘anticipated’ or ‘expected’ sense of inspiration, which, failed to produce anything but a huge anti-climax.

Today, I decided to try and strip away the romanticism and concentrate on the word.

My own personal meaning.

Spiration is the act of breathing.

Using this rationale, I could say that Inspiration comes from our willingness, our ability to breath (subconsciously or consciously), to live, to survive, to fight, to work.

It comes from doing something that is extremely important to us, and is, metaphorically speaking (or maybe not), ‘A matter of life and death’ – We can’t survive in our role without it, whether that role is living, writing, drawing, photography, philosophy, playing sports, or anywhere you find yourself ☺
